Multan is the city in Punjab province of Pakistan. Its total area is 3,721 km2 (1,436.7 sq mi) and its population is 4.5 million. Multan is one of the oldest cities in the Asian subcontinent. Multan is also known as the City of Sufis due to the large number of shrines and Sufi saints from the city. The city is full of bazaars, mosques, shrines and ornate tombs. Multan's famous crops are wheat, cotton and sugar cane as well as mangoes, citrus, guavas and pomegranates. The majority of Multan's residents are Saraiki speakers.

Multan is a combination of old and the new Pakistan culture. There are many tourist attraction places in the city including mausoleums of Sufi saints, ancient forts, tombs, museums, old mosques etc. Some of these places are The Mausoleum of Sheikh Baha-ud-Din Zakariya, the Mausoleum of Shah Rukn-e-Alam, Mausoleum of Shams-ud-Din, Multan Fort, Nuagaza tombs, Multan Museum, Jamia Mosque, Sawi Mosque, Mohammad Khan Wali Mosque etc.
