It is common requirement of the students to get attested their documents from the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, Islamabad who want to work abroad or making plan to work in other countries like UAE, Qatar, USA, Saudi Arabia, UK, Oman and Bahrain etc.

For example, if the applicant wants to join a company in Saudi Arabia, the employer will ask any question about the attestation of the degree from Saudi Embassy in Pakistan. The applicant has to get attested his degree by HEC and them by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pakistan then they will apply for attestation of the documents by Saudi Embassy.

If the applicant is migrating from Pakistan to any other country and he wants to continue his studies there in the foreign college or university then the attestation of the degree and transcript is required for the admission purpose. The immigration authorities or the foreign universities require the attested copies of the degree and transcripts in the official sealed envelope from the HEC. The applicant should not worry as the process for the attestation of the documents is same as for the attested photocopies in the HEC sealed envelope.

Requirements for degree attestation from HEC Islamabad:

  1. Original Matric Certificate and Mark sheets
  2. Original Intermediate Certificate and Mark sheets
  3. Original Degree and Transcripts / Mark sheets
  4. Copy of CNIC / NICOP or Passport
  5. Printout of Online Application Form
  6. Photocopies of Degree and Transcripts / Mark sheets (required only if you also need attested photocopies or sealed envelope along-with attestation on originals)
  7. Authority Letter – duly attested by 17 grade government officer (required only if someone else is processing on your behalf)

Step by step process for degree attestation from HEC Islamabad:

  1. Fill HEC Online Application Form – The applicant can visit the Degree Attestation System, which is present at official website of HEC and they fill in the online application forms carefully. If the applicant needs the attested photocopies of degree and transcripts or mark sheets with the attestation of the original document, then they select 1 photocopy of each original document in this form. They can select the desired appointment date and time to visit the HEC office.
  2. Visit HEC office in Islamabad on reserved date and time for submission of documents – On the reserved date and time, the applicant can visit the office of HEC Islamabad without any problem. If the applicant needs urgent attestation, they can visit the office of HEC on any working day before the reserved date. The applicant will have to wait in the long queue at the office of HEC early in the morning to get the token for that day to complete their work on the same day.
  3. Submit Document – when your turn will come, the HEC officer will check the compliance of your required documents. If he finds everything fine, then he will submit your documents. The applicants should ensure correction of your name on all certificates, degrees and mark sheets and CNIC to avoid any objection before going to the office of HEC Islamabad.
  4. Collection of Attested Documents – They will ask you to attend the office of HEC on the given time of same day to collect their attested documents. If you need the attested photocopies of the degree and transcript or mark sheets in HEC sealed envelope, then you can request with him at the office of HEC at the time of collection.

Step by step process to get verified copies of Transcripts in Sealed Envelope from NED University:

  1. Visit Examination Department of NED University Karachi – The applicants should visit the exams department of NED University and and they can ask questions from the degree / mark sheet counter about their requirements and the fee, which they charge for verification of the transcript and cost of courier to dispatch the verified transcript in the sealed envelope to the local or the foreign company or the university, whichever they like.
  2. Application Form – The applicants can get the application forms from the examination department degree/mark sheet counter and they should fill their application forms for verification of the educational documents. They should fill in the application forms with the particulars, address and send the sealed envelope and the prescribed fee. They can also download the application forms from the website of the NED University.
  3. NED Fee Bank Challan – The applicants visit the National Bank NED University branch and they can get the challan forms from there. They need to fill in the bank challan form with the particulars and pay the prescribed fee. At the fee counter, the bank fee officer will sign and stamp on the bank challan and application form after receiving the verification fee. He will return one copy of bank challan duly signed and stamped and the application form with the stamps.
  4. Submit Application Form – After deposit of the bank challan fee, the applicant should go to same degree / mark sheet counter of Examination Department of NED University and they can submit their application form with original bank challan and photocopy of transcript.
  5. Completion – If the applicant pays urgent fee then this process will take approx. one week for completion. After one week, the applicant will receive the verified transcript in sealed envelope, which will be dispatched to address mentioned on application form. You can get tracking ID of courier service from same degree / mark sheet counter. If you like you can also get tracking ID by calling contact number of degree / mark sheet counter.

  1. Where to Go – Mostly the Police Certificate is obtained from SSP or D.I.G Police Office of the city and if there is any other issuing office, then they guide the applicants accordingly.
  2. Application Form – The issuing office of Police will provide the application forms to fill and the applicant has to complete it accordingly.
  3. Fee – Most of the time, the police department does not charge any fee for the issue of the Police Character/ Clearance Certificate. If there is any fee for the police clearance certificate, then they will inform the applicants accordingly, which incurred on this process.
  4. Submission – The applicants should submit the application form with all required documents. If they need police verification from local police station, then they will guide you for this purpose.
  5. Completion – The police department does not mention the specific time period for completion of verification process of the character certificate. But the applicants should keep in mind about 7-12 days for completion of verification process. Police department will better inform you about the completion date and time.

Procedure Degree Attestation from Saudi Embassy

If you are making plan to work in Saudi Arabia and apply for visa, then you need to get the degree attestation from the Saudi Embassy in Pakistan. It is little bit difficult task and the applicant should do good paper work to complete this process. The applicants should keep in mind while getting the attestation of the degree from Saudi Embassy, they need the prior attestation of the documents from Saudi Culture Islamabad.

Where to Go:

Saudi Embassy does not entertain the applicants directly for the purpose of attestation of degree and other documents. For this purpose, Saudi Embassy has authorized few agencies across Pakistan to collect the documents from the applicants and they send these documents to Saudi Embassy for the attestation. These agencies return the attested documents to their clients after necessary attestation from the Saudi Embassy.

At this moment, we are unable to provide the list of the authorized agencies, which receive the documents from the clients. When we will have the information, we will share them online and during this time, they can visit this site and get new offerings of the degree attestation services, which are available in Pakistan.

Degree Attestation from Saudi Embassy if already working in Saudi Arabia:

Requirements:

  1. Two copies of Valid Passport, Iqama and CNIC (Prior attested by Saudi Employer)
  2. Request Letter for Saudi Culture Islamabad (Prior attested by Saudi Chamber)
  3. Request Letter for Saudi Embassy Islamabad (Prior attested by Saudi Chamber)
  4. Job Contract / Agreement Letter (Prior attested by Saudi Chamber and Saudi Foreign Office)
  5. Original Degree (Prior attested by HEC and Foreign Office in Pakistan)

Process:

  1. The applicants send one set of copies of Passport, Iqama and CNIC to the address of Saudi Culture in Islamabad via DHL.

    As mentioned above these documents require prior attestation by the Employer in Saudia.
  2. Submission – The applicants submit all other documents from above list of required documents and copy of DHL Receipt to any authorized agency of Saudi Embassy in Pakistan. The fee of the Agent for this attestation process should be around PKR 6000 to 8000.
  3. Completion – The process of attestation of documents can take approximately 3-4 weeks to complete.

Degree Attestation from Saudi Embassy for New Appointment:

Requirements:

  1. Two copies of Valid Passport, CNIC and Visa Slip (Prior attested by Saudi Employer)
  2. Request Letter for Saudi Culture Islamabad (Prior attested by Saudi Chamber)
  3. Request Letter for Saudi Embassy Islamabad (Prior attested by Saudi Chamber)
  4. Job Contract / Agreement Letter (Prior attested by Saudi Chamber and Saudi Foreign Office)
  5. Original Degree (Prior attested by HEC and Foreign Office in Pakistan)

Process:

  1. Submission – The applicants submit all documents to any authorized agency for Saudi Embassy and Saudi Culture attestation.
  2. Completion – This attestation process of the documents can take approximately 3-4 weeks to complete the process of attestation of the documents.

Marriage Certificate Attestation from Saudi Embassy
